BROMSGROVE Seconds secured the Birmingham League Division One Second XI title by one point after claiming a six-wicket victory over Pershore.

Batting first, Pershore were bowled out for 172 in the 43rd over, with Lee Wilks (82 not out) top scoring.

Adam Jones (3-32) and Matt Banham (3-20) were pick of the bowlers for the Boars who eased to 175-4 in their reply.

Despite losing Greg Chinn (1) early doors, Alistair Hickman (63) and Lewis Cordes (22) set Bromsgrove on their way before skipper Adam Jones (63) and David Collins (17no) pushed the visitors to the winning target.

With Coventry & North Warwickshire picking up just five points after losing by 42-runs at home to Astwood Bank, it meant Bromsgrove won the title by a single point.
