CELEBRATIONS for the 40th anniversary of Droitwich Spa Judo Kan continued with a presentation evening where awards and medals were presented to members.
Councillor Richard Morris was invited along to present the awards to the winners at a special evening which also included plenty of fun and games.
Awards were given for the member of the year, best girl and best boy, newcomer, grading and competition winner and many others were rewarded for showing commitment, determination and courage throughout the year.
“It’s been an up and down year for the club but once again we’ve won lots of medals and achieved a lot.” said head coach Thomas Ewins.
“We’re a small club with 42 members but we continue to go from strength to strength.
“We’ve got lots of exciting events and competitions planned as we celebrate our 40th anniversary right the way through to September 2015.
“Thank you once again to Richard Morris and all our parents and children who make us one of the best judoka families around – we are all very proud of you all.”
