Santiago Colts reach Open Cup semi-finals

SANTIAGO COLTS’ under-14 Girls reached the semi-finals of the Open Cup following their 3-1 victory over Redditch United.

Goals from Abbie Cleaver, Libby Stoodley and Toyah Spoor secured the win.

The under-13 Superstars were back to their best as they beat Championship rivals Bournville Warriors 4-1 thanks to a brace from Joe Wathen and one each for Luis Wetherall and Josh Donagey.

Under-18 Lickey earned all three points with a determined display which saw them claim a 2-1 win over Castle Bromwich United.

Man of the match Jordan Wilson netted both goals.

Despite leading 2-1 at half time, the under-15 Colts slumped to a 5-3 defeat to Quinton United.

Archie Emin-Falk, Tobias Parchment and Jack Zamitt scored for Colts.

The under-12 Lions enjoyed a 2-0 victory over Meadow Park with goals from man of the match Harry Neal and McKenxie O’Sullivan.

An injury-hit under-17 Girls went down 7-0 to Kewford Eagles, while the under-13 Allstars, who had only 11 fit players, went down to champions elect Coventry Sphinx 4-0.

There was no joy fot the under-12 Crusaders either as they lost 6-2 to Bournville Warriors.

Harry Irvine and Kyle Hackett scored for Crusaders.

In a double header against Alvechurch Lions, the under-15 Colts claimed a 1-0 win in the first game before losing the second by the same scoreline.

Bradley Cutter scored for Colts.

Elsewhere, the under-14 Shamrocks lost their double header with Boldmere Falcons 1-0 and 2-0 respectively.
