BROMSGROVE RFC surrendered a 19-point lead in a 41-37 defeat at Lichfield as the Boars came away from the fixture with two bonus points.

Tries from Rich Hance, Will Harris, Tom Mitchell and Rhys Williams had put the Boars into a commanding lead at Cooke Fields.

However, Lichfield staged a late comeback to stun the visitors and complete the double over Bromsgrove.

The result means Bromsgrove sit fifth in the Regional 1 Midlands table.

Lichfield scored a couple of tries to take an early lead only for the Boars to respond with four unanswered tries courtesy of Hance, Harris, Mitchell and Williams.

And Williams kicked three penalties to take his individual haul to 22 points.

However, Lichfield scored three tries without reply in the final half an hour to reclaim the lead and secure a second come-from-behind win against the Boars this season.

Bromsgrove are next in action against Lutterworth on Saturday, March 28 with kick-off at 3pm at Finstall Park in the club’s final home game of the season.
