BROMSGROVE RFC ran in 12 tries in a 78-0 victory against bottom club Kenilworth with the result to stand despite an early abandonment.

The Boars returned to winning ways in style at Finstall Park although the referee called time 15 minutes early due to a number of injuries to Kenilworth players.

And the result means Bromsgrove sit fourth in the Regional 1 Midlands table, 13 points behind leaders Syston with a game in-hand.

The Boars scored two tries inside the opening five minutes as Ross Attwood and Dylan Beech-Bailey set Bromsgrove on their way to a comprehensive victory.

And further tries from George Amphlett, Tom Sadler and a brace from Ben Tibbetts put Bromsgrove 36 points ahead at the interval.

The Boars picked up where they left off after the break as Sadler, Wil Llewellyn, Rich Hance and debutant Harrison Osbourne all dotted down.

And Steve Leech touched down twice while Amphlett took over kicking duties and converted all six of the home side’s second-half tries.

However, the referee brought an end to proceedings early as Kenilworth’s injury woes left them unable to continue with the required number of players.

Bromsgrove are next in action Long Eaton on Saturday, January 4 with kick-off at 3pm at West Park.
