CAM Simpson led the charge as Bromsgrove RFC secured a hard-fought 25-12 win against Nuneaton to secure an eighth win from 10 matches in the league this season.
Simpson was first to dot down for the Boars with Ed Spalding and Will Harris adding further tries in the second-half to secure an important win.
The result means Bromsgrove sit third in the Midlands Premier table just three points behind league leaders Sheffield.
After a chastising defeat to Newport (Salop) a fortnight ago – Bromsgrove were in need of a much-improved display against bottom of the table Nuneaton.
However, it was the visitors who broke the deadlock when Ricky Aley kicked an early penalty to edge Nuneaton into the lead.
Bromsgrove responded when Simpson crossed for their first try after a pair of incisive breaks from Spalding and Harris.
Defences were on top for much of the first-half in Bromsgrove with the Boars holding a slender 10-9 lead at the break.
The home side pulled away in the second period thanks to a couple of impressive first phase tries from Spalding and Harris.
And the victory was made even more impressive given the fact Bromsgrove did not concede a single try to their opponents over the course of the 80 minutes.
Bromsgrove return to action against Oundle RFC on Saturday, November 27 with kick-0ff at 2:15pm at Occupation Road.
