BROMSGROVE RFC ended the season on a losing note following a 55-18 defeat away at Banbury.
The Boars crossed for two tries as Will Tanner and Rhys Williams dotted down while the latter also added eight points from the kicking tee at Bodicote Park.
And the defeat means Bromsgrove finish the Regional 1 Midlands season in fifth place, just three points behind Stourbridge in third.
The Boars made the perfect start when Tanner forced his way through a gap to score the game’s first try after just two minutes.
However, Banbury responded with two tries of their own to turn the game in the home side’s favour.
Williams kicked two penalties to close the gap between the two teams before Banbury kicked a penalty of their own to take a four-point lead into the break.
However, the home side blew the Boars away in the second half with a five-try blitz.
Williams scored Bromsgrove’s only points in the second half as he crossed for a try to finish the game with a 13-point individual haul.
