TOM Sadler scored a second hat-trick in as many games as Bromsgrove RFC secured a convincing 10-try 68-10 win in the club’s first-ever meeting with Long Eaton.

Sadler’s treble means the winger has now scored seven tries in his last two matches while Ben Tibbetts crossed twice and Jamie Constantine, Wil Llewellyn, Jack Medley, Will Harris and James Gunther all touched down at Finstall Park.

The result means Bromsgrove sit fourth in the Regional 1 Midlands table.

Bromsgrove picked up where they left off, after scoring 81 points against Kenilworth in their last outing, as Tibbetts jinked his way through to dot down under the posts after five minutes and Will Tanner added the extras.

Sadler than stole the ball and ran in from 80-metres out before scoring his second try of the game soon after.

Long Eaton scored their first try from the restart only for the Boars to secure a bonus points thanks to quickfire tries from Constantine and Llewellyn as Tanner and Harris converted the scores respectively.

Bromsgrove took a commanding 30-point lead into the break and scored four tries in the first quarter-hour of the second period.

Tibbetts dotted down his second try of the game before Medley, Harris and Gunther all crossed with Tanner kicking three conversions.

Sadler eventually completed his hat-trick after breaking a tackle before running in from 80-metres out once again in a sensational return to form after he missed all of last season with injury.

However, Long Eaton had the final say as the visitors scored their second try with the final play of the game.

Bromsgrove are next in action against Silhillians on Saturday, October 12 with kick-off at 3pm at Silhillians Sports Club.
