BROMSGROVE RFC ran in five tries to secure a 32-14 bonus point win against Oundle and end a run of three straight defeats.

Tom Sadler, Drew Harper, James Gunther, Matt Sprigg and Will Trumper all touched down for the Boars at Finstall Road.

The result moves Bromsgrove up to fifth place in the Midlands Premier table as they head a cluster of four teams battling for the position with three matches left to play.

And Sadler ran in the game’s first try when he outpaced his opposite number down the right wing before Harper finished a catch and drive at a lineout.

The Boars added a third try through Gunther on the strike of half time to send Bromsgrove into the break with a 22-0 lead before Oundle scored their first try in the second period.

However, two tries in the space of eight minutes secured a bonus point win for the Boars as Sprigg struck from another lineout before Trumper broke free down the right wing.

Oundle dotted down with the last play of the match after some sustained pressure on the Boars line but it proved too little, too late, to alter the result.

Bromsgrove are next in action away at Paviors RFC on Saturday, April 2 with kick-off at 3pm at the Ron Rossin Ground.
