BROMSGROVE RFC were beaten 40-26 by Lymm RFC in the Papa Johns Community Cup in a high-scoring affair at Finstall Park.
The Boars found themselves behind by 20 points at the break as Lymm ran in four first-half tries to Bromsgrove’s one.
However, the home side rallied in the second half and matched their opponents from Cheshire to cross for three tries all of which were converted by Will Harris.
Despite excellent work at the lineout by James Gunther, Lewis Arnold and the rest of the Bromsgrove forwards, the Boars were unable to turn the game or the final result in their favour.
