RED LION secured a crucial win over Crown Inn to leapfrog their title rivals and top the Division One table.

Red Lion edged out the former leaders 5-4 in a quality top of the table affair to move two points clear of Crown Inn who drop to second.

Hanbury Turn kept pace with the leaders with a similarly narrow 5-4 win against Queens Head and remain four points off the top.

Droitwich WMC A eased past Boat and Railway 7-2 to move two points clear of Queens Head in fourth although the latter have a game in-hand.

And Bromsgrove Con Club remain winless from their 12 matches after suffering a 7-2 reverse against seventh placed Rubery SC B.

Moving into Division Two, Studley CC maintained their perfect record with an 8-1 thrashing of Droitwich WMC B.

Catshill Club remain two points off the pace after beating Black Cross 6-3 whilst Rubery SC A produced an inspired performance to hammer Golden Lion 8-1.

And lastly, Millfields SC secured a third straight win after scraping past Stoke Prior Club B 5-4 to trail Rubery in third by just two points.

The results in Division One mean Red Lion lead the way with 22 points from 12 matches, two ahead of Crown Inn who sit second with Hanbury Turn and Droitwich WMC A in third and fourth respectively.

All of the teams below the top four, except for bottom team Bromsgrove Con Club, have played a game less with Queens Head in fifth, Boat and Railway in sixth, Rubery SC B in eighth and Hop Pole in ninth.

And in Division Two, Studley CC top the table with nine wins from as many games to sit on 18 points with Catshill Club second on 16 points having played a game more.

Elsewhere, Rubery SC A are third with 12 points from nine matches with Millfields SC fourth on 10 points from as many matches, level with Golden Lion in fifth who have played one more game.

Below them, Black Cross occupy sixth on eight points, two clear of Stoke Prior Club B in seventh with Droitwich WMC B eighth on two points.
