Ravens fly high after festival wins

Bromsgrove Editorial 29th Jun, 2019   0

THE Junior Ravens excelled yet again when competing at a festival in Nottinghamshire on Sunday.

Hosted by Sherwood Wolf Hunt RLFC, the Ravens’ under-11s impressed with wins against sides from Bolsover Bulls, Coventry Bears, Batteslaw Bulls, Telford Raiders, Black Swans, Nottingham Outlaws and Sherwood.

The Ravens were able to loan some of their players to help fill the numbers for other sides competing at the festival.

Meanwhile, the Ravens’ under-15s combined with Telford Raiders and Coventry Bears to take on Bolsover, Batteslaw, Nottinghamshire and Malvern, putting in a first class showing and winning all of their games in style.

NEW Ravens are always on the hunt for new players to join the growing ranks at the club. Mixed touch rugby is played every Monday at 7pm, open age training every Wednesday, also at 7pm, and junior training on Sundays from 10.30am. All sessions are held at Hopwood Park on Ash Lane.

The Ravens senior side are back in action on Saturday, when they travel to Midlands South league leaders Birmingham Bulldogs (2.30pm)
