ANDY NICOL bagged a brace as Austin Ex Apprentices secured a 2-0 victory over Rubery United in the Bromsgrove League Premier Division.

A seven-goal thriller at the Recreation Ground, BGIS Fairfield almost saw a 4-0 lead slip as they edged out Chaddesley Corbett by the odd goal.

Carl Martin (2), Danny Lawrence and Connor Collins got on the scoresheet for the hosts.

Meanwhile, Pilkington Sunday secured an emphatic 6-1 victory over a much-changed Black Horse.




In Division One, Sporting Club Redditch threw away a late 3-2 lead to lose 4-3 the hands of The Hawthorns.

Harry Bedford, Harry Sharpe and the Tom Higgins had earlier netted for Redditch to put them in command.


Jamie Molyneux netted twice as Avenue FC secured a 4-2 victory at Wychbold RBL whose scorer was Aaron Stephens (2).

The other game in the division saw Sporting Grapevine and Quinton Athletic share the spoils in a 1-1 draw.

Josh Moore netted for Grapevine; Andy Gibson for Athletic.

A six-goal thriller at Four Dwellings Academy saw Awkies Allstars and Bromsgrove Corinthians draw 3-3 in Division Two.

Jason Gibbons (2) and Chris Fox scored for Allstars while Tom Mason (2) and Jason Mitchell were on target for Corinthians.

Ivan Karov, David Phelan and Mitchell Sutor bagged the goals in Winyates’ 3-1 victory at Hizza United while Spa Athletic picked up a 2-1 victory at Redditch United Sunday.

There were two seven-goal encounters in Division Three as Stoke Works beat Chaddesley Ravens 4-3 while Cofton Old Boys beat prison side Hewell by a similar scoreline.

Alan Parkinson (2), Richard Burgess, Duncan Palmer and Stockhall netted in Chaddesley Pensioners’ 5-0 rout at Royal Eagles.

Lickey End Social enjoyed a 1-0 victory over Rubery Legends and Arrow Valley beat Kings Norton Sporting 4-0.

Rob Voice, Paul Halfpenny, Garry Harvey and Jay Wright netting.

In Division Four, Nick Baker and Jake Exley were on target in Bromsgrove Academicals’ 2-0 victory over Millfield Rovers.

Meadow Park Youth bagged a 2-0 win at Redditch Borough while Catshill Veterans also won 2-0 at Stoke Prior.
