Bromsgrove Sporting’s Richard Gregory writes for The Standard in his weekly column, reflecting on the club’s recent form and looking ahead to Saturday’s visit to Needham Market.
Hi all, hope everyone is having a great week so far.
We are currently in good form having taken ten points from the last possible 12. We’ve found that bit of consistency lately which we’ve been looking for all season, so hopefully it can continue.
There are two tough games coming up. First, the trip to a very organised side in Needham Market on Saturday, before the home game against AFC Rushden and Diamonds – who will certainly be out for a bit of revenge after our 8-2 win there a few months back.
We don’t fear anybody as everyone has now seen, so as long as we are on our game and don’t allow any kind of complacency to come back in, then we are all confident of two positive results.
On a personal note it’s good to be back after a hamstring injury kept me out for a good month.
It’s nice to be back out there with the boys and helping contribute to the recent form.
We have strong competition in our side and it’s good for us all, as you can’t afford to take your foot off the pedal with someone else looking to take your shirt.
Safe journey to anyone that is making the trip to Needham on Saturday, and for those who won’t be, bring your noise to the Victoria Ground the following Saturday for the Rushden game.
