CAMERON Ebbutt scored one and set-up another as Bromsgrove Sporting secured an impressive 2-1 win against Hednesford Town on Tuesday night at the Victoria Ground.
Ebbutt opened the scoring from the penalty spot on 52 minutes after he was fouled in the box.
Reece Flanagan levelled for the visitors on 76 minutes only for Joel Kettle to score the winner just three minutes later.
Victory for the Rouslers means they are now ninth in the Southern League Premier Division Central table as they turn their attentions back to the FA Cup this weekend.
Torrential rain made for few chances in the first-half before Ebbutt shot just over the bar one minute prior to breaking the deadlock.
Excellent work from Jourdain Masidi allowed Ebbutt to take the ball into the box where he was brought down.
Ebbutt picked himself up to send Andy Wycherley the wrong way and put Sporting ahead.
After twice testing the Sporting goal, Hednesford found their equaliser through substitute Flanagan when he drove into the box and found the bottom corner.
However, Bromsgrove retook the lead three minutes later when Ebbutt’s set-piece was headed home by Joel Kettle to secure a precious three points for Brendan Kelly’s side.
Cody Fisher could have added some gloss to the scoreline in the final minute but was denied by the leg of Wycherley from a tight angle.
The Rouslers saw out the final few minutes as they returned to winning ways ahead of their FA Cup Third Round Qualifying clash with Welwyn Garden City on Saturday.
