BROMSGROVE School’s under-16 boys finished as runners-up in the England Hockey Tier 2 National Final at Lee Valley Hockey and Tennis Centre at the Olympic Park in London.
However, Bromsgrove were beaten 7-0 by Dean Close in the final although the young and talented hockey players should be proud of their performances over the season.
The boys enjoyed a successful season and played well in the final, despite the scoreline, creating opportunities to score while defending resolutely in the first half.
Bromsgrove trailed at the break and pushed hard to get back into the game but were unable to find a way past their difficult opponents.
The final was an excellent experience for the boys and a great way to end the hockey season.
And the team finished as runners-up in the final and should be extremely pleased with their performance having beaten Oakham School, Calday Grange Grammar School and Rugby School on route to the showpiece.
