PROMISING Bromsgrove golfer Jake Jeff-Johnston has qualified and been selected to play in the World Junior Golf Championships in Portugal next year.
Jake received the news shortly before his 11th birthday and will travel to Portugal next February to compete at the Championships held at Amendoeira Golf Resort in The Algarve.
The youngster qualified for the Championships with an impressive performance in a three-day qualifying event in Cambridge.
Jake was assessed on his previous results, golf handicap (which is currently 10) and his consistency of performance.
The Bromsgrove Golf Academy junior has been a member at the club since three years of age and has been coached by Rob Laing and his team for the last seven years
He is also part of the under-14 Worcestershire County Golf Squad and represents the Bromsgrove Golf Academy in the West Midlands Junior League.
Jake won the inaugural Bromsgrove Golf Club Junior Masters League last year.
