TIM Flowers feels Bromsgrove Sporting are ‘moving in the right direction’ following a 2-2 draw away at Stamford.
A late goal from Luke Benbow earned the Rouslers a point at the Zeeco Stadium after Tyrone Lewthwaite’s early goal put Sporting ahead.
That came after goals from Leon Lobjoit and Michael Armstrong turned the game on its head only for Benbow to strike late on.
The result means Bromsgrove sit 16th in the Southern League Premier Central table, five points clear of the relegation zone.
And Flowers hopes Sporting can build some momentum after picking up four points from their last two matches.
Flowers said: “It’s a good point. Stamford is a tough place to come, is was never going to be anything other than an arm-wrestle for 90 minutes.
“Fitness wise we looked as though we had gone to the end, they looked like they were really struggling and they went to a back five.
“We were full of running at the end and we’re starting to see the results of the hard work over the last five weeks.
“We were a bit thick to start with and we were naive with our defending and clearances. We fell straight into the trap which resulted in their first goal.
“They get their noses in front, again it’s a poor goal but we don’t crumble. We have chances and go two up top and score a goal.
“If you win at home and take a point away from home, we’re probably moving in the right direction.
“When you’re just starting to get a little bit of momentum, you’ve got to put your foot down on the pedal.”
Bromsgrove are next in action against Harborough Town on Saturday, February 7 with kick-off at 3pm at the Victoria Ground.
