BROMSGROVE Sporting suffered a 4-1 defeat away at 10-man Mickleover as the Rouslers slumped to a fifth straight defeat in all competitions.
Sporting’s new player-manager Mike McGrath was unable to inspire an upturn in form in his second game in charge.
Oliver Greaves, Mitchell Rose, Stuart Beavon and Andrew Dales were all on target for the home side who had George Nunn sent off whilst Mikey Taylor was on the scoresheet for Sporting at the Don Amott Arena.
McGrath handed a debut to Mo Sebbeh-Njie in midfield after he arrived on loan from Alfreton Town earlier the same day.
And Greaves opened the scoring on 16 minutes when he blasted home a rebound after Liam Armstrong could only parry Beavon’s initial shot.
The home side doubled their lead on 35 minutes when Rose found the top-right corner from 25-yards out.
And Mickleover added their third goal on 61 minutes as Beavon glanced a header past Armstrong from Ryan Wilson’s cross from the left.
However, the hosts were reduced to 10-men when substitute Nunn retaliated to a challenge by McGrath and was shown a red card by the referee.
And Sporting made the most of their numerical advantage to reduce the deficit on 85 minutes when Taylor provided the final touch following a goalmouth scramble.
Mickleover completed the scoring in the final minute of regulation time when Dales slotted past Armstrong as the home side caught Sporting on the counter.
Sporting are next in action away at AFC Rushden and Diamonds on Saturday, October 29 with kick-off at 3pm at Hayden Road.
