BROMSGROVE Sporting kicked-off their pre-season campaign with a 2-1 win away at Tividale thanks to a late winner from academy player Blake Kindred.
Kindred struck on 80 minutes after George Forsyth’s free-kick had put Sporting ahead only for Tividale to equalise just past the hour mark.
The game was the first Sporting have played under new boss Thomas Baillie who will have been pleased to secure a win in his maiden game in charge.
And Sporting made the perfect start when Forsyth scored from a dead ball situation after just five minutes.
However, Tividale drew level on 64 minutes only for Sporting’s academy pair David McQuaide and Kindred to combine for Bromsgrove’s winner late on.
The Rouslers are next in action away at Sporting Khalsa on Saturday, July 16 with kick-off at 3pm at Noose Lane.
