BROMSGROVE Sporting were beaten on their travels for the first time this season after falling to a 3-1 defeat at Rushall Olympic.

Ryan Edmunds pulled a goal back for the Rouslers in the second half after John Atherton, Alexander Fletcher and Jayden Campbell had put Rushall into a three-goal lead at Dales Lane.

The result leaves Sporting in 10th place in the Southern League Premier Central table after four matches.

And the club also learned who they will play in the FA Cup First Qualifying Round with a home match against Stamford AFC scheduled for Saturday, September 3 at the Victoria Ground.

Stamford are based in Lincolnshire and play in the Northern Premier League Division One Midlands (step four) where they sit second in the table having won all three of their opening league matches.

Sporting are next in action at home to Hitchin Town on Saturday, August 27 at the Victoria Ground before making the trip to Stratford Town on Monday, August 29 at the Arden Garages Stadium.

Both matches kick-off at 3pm.
