SCOTT Adey-Linforth is looking forward to his first taste of Bromsgrove Sporting’s rivalry with Redditch United as the Rouslers prepare to make the short trip to the Valley Stadium this weekend.

Sporting head into the derby clash off the back of snatching an injury-time point against Harborough Town at the Victoria Ground in midweek.

A late goal from Jack Newell ensured the Rouslers came away with a point after Ben Stephens’ early penalty put the visitors ahead.

The result leaves Sporting 14th in the Southern League Premier Central table, eight points clear of the relegation zone while rivals Redditch sit 18th in the table just one place and four points above the drop zone.

And Adey-Linforth is keen to end Sporting’s five-game losing run in the fixture this weekend.

Adey-Linforth said: “I’m excited, I’ve never been involved in this game before.

“I love a local derby and we want to go and win it.

“It’s in their backyard, their home form is decent, we’re both still scrapping for points.

“It’s going to be a really good game.”

Bromsgrove travel to Redditch on Saturday, March 29 with kick-off at 3pm at the Valley Stadium.
