FOOTBALL - Scott Adey-Linforth admits Bromsgrove Sporting performance at Worcester City was 'not acceptable'

SCOTT Adey-Linforth branded Bromsgrove Sporting’s derby display against Worcester City as ‘not acceptable’.

The Rouslers suffered a 3-0 defeat at Sixways Stadium as Charlie Wise headed in a brace while Dan Sweeney scored from the penalty spot.

Both scorers once played for Sporting as the Rouslers slipped to back-to-back defeats in the league.

And Adey-Linforth seemed perplexed by the nature of Bromsgrove’s performance in the derby defeat.

Adey-Linforth said: “We were a million miles off it. Right from the first minute, I feel for the supporters because it was a tough watch.

“We weren’t good at all. To be as good as were at the weekend and to come here and do that – it’s not acceptable and not good enough.

“They punished us from corners. We defended them better in the second half but they scored from the first corner of the game which set the precedent.

“The bigger problem for us was with the ball. We were our own worst enemy at times. We looked shot of confidence on the ball which is mad.

“It’s a head-scratcher because we’ve been so good defensively over the last month but the floodgates opened a little bit.”

Bromsgrove are next in action against Leek Town in the FA Trophy on Saturday, October 25 with kick-off at 3pm at the F. Ball Community Stadium.
