ASH Pardoe’s injury time goal helped Bromsgrove Rovers AFC to a dramatic 4-3 win against North Solihull in a seven-goal thriller.

Pardoe won the game for Rovers in stoppage time after Bromsgrove surrendered the lead on three separate occasions at South Bromsgrove High School.

Goals from Keian Savage, Dan Hagyard and Pardoe had put Rovers ahead only for North Solihull to equalise three times before the latter popped up with the winning goal at the death.

The result means Rovers sit sixth in the Birmingham and District League Division Three table.

Bromsgrove broke the deadlock after just five minutes when Savage opened the scoring only for Hagyard to slice the ball into his own net moments later.

Rovers goalkeeper George Harris made a superb to keep the scores level as the teams went into the break all square.

However, Hagyard made amends for his earlier own goal when he put the home side back in front on 49 minutes as Harvey Gibbons drew Solihull level for a second time.

Rovers reclaimed the lead when Pardoe burst through and found the net before the North Solihull goalkeeper made two crucial saves to keep the visitors in the contest.

And the away side looked to have claimed a point when Marcell Boothe equalised eight minutes from time.

However, Pardoe proved to be the hero for Rovers as he scored his second of the game deep into injury time to ensure the home side returned to winning ways.
