PRINCE Henry scored twice as Bromsgrove Sporting claimed an emphatic 4-0 win away at Royston Town in their first away game of the season.
Henry struck twice in the first half before debutant Gustavo Macedo-Sanches scored a stunner and Conor Tee added a fourth goal late on at Garden Walk.
And the result means Sporting sit eighth in the Southern League Premier Central table after two matches.
The Rouslers spurned a glorious chance to take the lead on 10 minutes when Conor Tee won a penalty after he was tripped by Ronnie Henry only for Louis Chadwick to save the former’s effort from the spot.
However, Sporting eventually broke the deadlock on 32 minutes when Henry nodded in at the back post after Keanu Cooper flicked on Tee’s inswinging corner.
And Henry doubled his tally for the game in first-half injury time as he beat two defenders before firing a low effort into the right corner of the goal from Tee’s pass.
The visitors sealed the point on 79 minutes as substitute Macedo-Sanches received a pass just inside the Royston half, drove forwards and struck a low shot into the left corner of the goal from distance.
And the scoring was complete five minutes into injury time as Tee fired in Sporting’s fourth of the afternoon from Aksum White’s pass after good work from Macedo-Sanches.
The victory was Sporting’s first in the league this season as Michael McGrath’s side bounced back from their opening day defeat against rivals Redditch United in style.
Bromsgrove are next in action at home to Coalville Town on Tuesday, August 15 with kick-off at 7.45pm at the Victoria Ground.
