FORMER players Charlie Wise and Dan Sweeney came back to haunt Bromsgrove Sporting as the Rouslers lost 3-0 against local rivals Worcester City.
A brace of headers from Wise and Sweeney penalty condemned Sporting to a derby defeat at Sixways Stadium.
The result means Bromsgrove sit 16th in the Southern League Premier Central table, three points clear of the relegation zone.
Sporting fell behind after just 11 minutes as Wise rose highest to meet Liam Lockett’s corner and put the home side in front.
And Wise repeated the trick on 37 minutes when he met Josh Bailey’s corner to double his tally for the game against his former club.
Worcester sealed the points on 57 minutes as Sweeney scored from the penalty spot after Luke Softley committed a foul in the box.
Bromsgrove are next in action against Leek Town in the FA Trophy on Saturday, October 25 with kick-off at 3pm at the F. Ball Community Stadium.
