ALVECHURCH’S FA Cup hero Danny Waldron has left the club to join newly-promoted National League North side Rushall Olympic.
Waldron etched his name into Alvechurch’s history books after scoring twice in a memorable 2-1 win at League One Cheltenham Town in the first round of the FA Cup last season.
The striker scored 29 goals in 51 appearances for Church last term and was the club’s top goalscorer in all competitions while he also collected the supporters’ player of the season and goal of the season awards.
Waldron tweeted: “It’s been a pleasure to play for Church over the past couple of years, we had great memories in the FA Cup and I learnt a lot during my time.
“Wishing the club all the best in the future.”
