BROMSGROVE Sporting surrendered an early lead in a 3-1 defeat against Halesowen Town to remain winless in the league under Tim Flowers.

Flowers has failed to win any of his first three league games in charge of the Rouslers following defeat at The Grove.

An early goal from Tyrone Lewthwaite put Sporting ahead only for Halesowen to blitz Bromsgrove with three goals in the space of nine minutes after the break.

The Yeltz drew level on the hour mark courtesy of Kyle Finn’s goal before further strikes from Fin Holmes and Ryan Wollacott condemned Sporting to defeat.

And the result means Bromsgrove sit 17th in the Southern League Premier Central table, four points clear of the relegation zone.

Sporting made the perfect start when Lewthwaite forced a shot over the line from close range following a corner from the left after just three minutes.

However, Halesowen drew level on the hour mark as Finn turned home Ben Cassidy’s low ball in from the left from a couple of yards out.

And the Yeltz completed the turnaround seven minutes later when former Bromsgrove loanee Holmes raced onto a ball in-behind the Sporting defence and coolly found the bottom left corner.

The home side struck again on 69 minutes to stun the visitors as Wollacott poked Holmes’ low ball in from the right past Rory Brown at the near post from close range.

Bromsgrove are next in action against Bury Town on Saturday, January 17 with kick-off at 3pm at Ram Meadow.
