BROMSGROVE Sporting’s new number nine Keiron Berry is eager to start scoring goals after signing up for the 2022/23 Southern League Premier Central campaign.

The former Walsall, Rushall Olympic and Gresley Rovers hitman has impressed Rouslers chief Mike McGrath during pre-season and now joins the squad ahead of the new season.

Berry’s arrival comes with Sporting fans set to discover the new league fixtures which come out on Friday, July 11.

“I can’t wait to get started scoring plenty of goals and grabbing assists for Bromsgrove Sporting,” Berry said.

“This team and the gaffa have big plans and hopes for the season and I just want to be a part of it and help us get in the position for playoffs or title.

“It’s been a great pre season so far and enjoying my time at Bromsgrove and I’m looking forward to showing you all what I can do,” he added.

McGrath welcomed his new signing and hailed Berry as a ‘superb addition to the squad.

McGrath’s men go into the game on the back of a second successive 1-1 draw, this time at Southern League side Evesham United on Tuesday evening (July 11).

A second half leveller from Conor Tee secured a share the spoils after Sporting fell behind at the Spiers and Hartwell Jubilee Stadium to an early Robins penalty.
