BROMSGROVE Sporting have confirmed the arrival of goalkeeper Tony Breeden following the departure of shot-stopper Rory Brown.
Breeden moves to the Victoria Ground from Hednesford Town who he helped to promotion from the Northern Premier League Premier Division last season.
The experienced 38-year-old goalkeeper previously played for Sporting in the club’s debut campaign at Step Three back in 2019.
Breeden has won promotion in each of the last three seasons – twice with Hednesford and once with Spalding United.
The goalkeeper counts Tamworth, Kidderminster Harriers and Leamington amongst some of his former clubs.
Breeden said: “If I’m honest, I’m just absolutely buzzing to be back at this brilliant club.
“From the outside looking in, the work going into everything looks amazing, and to be able to be a small part of it going forward is something that really excites me.
“I can’t wait to get going and show everyone that I’m better than my last showing here, which by my own standard was rubbish.
“I look forward to seeing all the amazing fans soon.”
Breeden’s arrival comes after former Sporting keeper Brown departed the club following the conclusion of the 2025/26 season.
Brown initially joined the Rouslers on loan from Solihull Moors last November before making the move permanent in January.
Brown said: “I just want to say a massive thank you to everyone at Bromsgrove for the last six months.
“From the fans, the staff and everyone behind the scenes, the volunteers and especially Elliott Nash who has been a massive help for me on and off the pitch.
“As I move on and look back, there were a lot of highs and lows but I’m just glad I was able to play my part in keeping the club in Step Three.
“I wish the club nothing but success in the future.”
