BROMSGROVE Sporting have signed experienced striker Luke Benbow from Rushall Olympic.
Benbow scored four goals in 21 appearances last season as Rushall suffered relegation from the National League North.
The 33-year-old has featured for a number of Midlands clubs throughout his career including Stourbridge, Nuneaton Borough and Rushall.
Benbow said: “I hope to bring goals to the team to help gain promotion, which is definitely achievable with the players the club have.
“It’s quite local to me and I’m going to relish the chance to link up with the gaffer, having spent many years with him at Stourbridge.
“I can’t wait to get going with Bromsgrove and to meet the fans.”
Sporting boss, Scott Adey-Linforth added: “Luke is a player I’ve known and worked with for many years and I’m so excited to see him play here at Bromsgrove.
“He has a fantastic personality, with a real drive to win, and he will add to our changing room.
“Luke is an experienced number nine at this level, who moved up to Step Two last season.
“He’s capable of scoring special goals and I can’t wait to see some scored in front of the Shed End.”
Benbow’s arrival comes following the departure of Sporting’s top scorer last season Jamie Meddows to AFC Telford United.
