BROMSGROVE Sporting romped to a remarkable 8-0 pre-season victory against Welsh side Trefelin with seven different players on the scoresheet.
Jake Doyle-Charles, Jake Jervis and Ollie Harrison all netted in the first half to put the Rouslers into a commanding lead at the break at the Victoria Ground.
Further goals from Simeon Maye, Billy Shaw, Jaden Charles and two from a trialist made for a memorable afternoon while Trefelin finished the game with 10-men following an injury time red card.
Sporting claimed a fifth successive pre-season victory against a Trefelin side who will play in the Welsh top flight this campaign.
The Rouslers took just seven minutes to break the deadlock when Doyle-Charles found the net from 20-yards out.
And Jervis doubled the home side’s lead on 34 minutes as he squeezed an effort past the Trefelin goalkeeper.
Harrison put Sporting three goals ahead on the stroke of half time when he headed in Chris Hussey’s corner.
Bromsgrove added a fourth goal on 71 minutes as Maye placed a shot into the bottom corner from inside the box.
And Sporting struck again four minutes later when Shaw lashed an effort into the top corner of the net.
A trialist made it six for Sporting on 78 minutes with a close-range finish.
Charles made it seven two minutes later with a powerful strike into the bottom corner.
And the same trialist scored his second of the game in injury time to complete the scoring after rounding the goalkeeper and finishing into an empty net.
On a miserable afternoon for the Welsh side, Trefelin had a player sent off at the death for dissent.
Bromsgrove continue their pre-season campaign against Malvern Town on Tuesday, July 28 with kick-off at 7.45pm at the Victoria Ground.
