BROMSGROVE Sporting have retained two key players for next season but have lost another to Step Three rivals Rushall Olympic.

Influential midfielder Billy Shaw and former Australian youth international Jordan Lyden have agreed terms to remain with the Rouslers next season.

However, defender Carter Lycett has left the club to join Rushall and link up with his former boss Ian Long.

Shaw said: “I am really excited to be a part of this club again going into the new season.

“I am itching for the first game back and to meet up with the rest of the squad and fans again.

“Hopefully we can kick on from some of the strong performances we had in the second half of the season.”

Lyden added: “I’m delighted to be staying next season.

“I’ve really enjoyed my time here so far and me and my family have felt welcome since joining.

“We have a very good squad that the gaffer has built and I feel like next season we can push on following a very good second half of last season.

“I can’t wait to get started already next season.”
