BEN O’Hanlon’s second-half red card proved costly as Bromsgrove Sporting suffered a late 2-1 defeat away at Barwell.
Substitute Thomas Cursons scored from the penalty spot in injury time to complete the turnaround after Conor Tee’s early goal opened the scoring for Sporting.
However, O’Hanlon saw red just before the hour mark after Brady Hickey had equalised for Barwell in the first half at Kirkby Road.
And the result means Sporting sit 13th in the Southern League Premier Central table, six points clear of the relegation zone.
Sporting made the perfect start as Tee scored a trademark goal from distance to open the scoring after just two minutes.
However, Barwell drew level on 27 minutes as Hickey headed home at the back post after George Ward flicked on Kobe Chong’s free-kick.
The game turned on 58 minutes when Rouslers defender O’Hanlon received a second yellow card for a foul on Beck-Ray Enoru.
And just as Sporting looked to have held on for a point, Barwell won a penalty in injury time which Cursons converted down the middle of the goal to inflict a fourth straight defeat on the Rouslers.
Bromsgrove are next in action at home to local rivals Alvechurch on Tuesday, November 21 with kick-off at 7.45pm at the Victoria Ground.
