TIM Flowers admits Bromsgrove Sporting ‘need results’ ahead of a trip to bottom of the table Royston Town this weekend.
The Rouslers suffered a 2-1 home defeat against league leaders Harborough Town at the Victoria Ground in midweek.
Set-piece goals from Alex Morris and George Carline put the visitors into an early two-goal lead before Theo Robinson halved the deficit.
The result means Bromsgrove sit 17th in the Southern League Premier Central table, two points clear of the relegation zone.
And Flowers admits Sporting will have a mountain to climb if they fail to beat basement club Royston this weekend.
Flowers said: “We’ve got a few games left now where we need to get some results.
“We lost the game in the first 15 minutes. It was set-play city and again it was two set-pieces.
“We are guilty of being naive at times but it’s difficult.
“We showed a lot of spirit, energy and commitment.
“We coped pretty well after the first 15 minutes but it’s another game chalked off.
“We’ve got to go to Royston this weekend and get a result.
“If we don’t, we give ourselves an even bigger mountain to climb.
“Somehow, we’ve got to find a way to get over the line.”
In midweek, Sporting fell behind on 13 minutes when Morris towered over the Rouslers defence to head home a free-kick from close range.
And Harborough doubled their lead four minutes later as Carline headed in a corner from the right at the back post to leave Sporting in trouble.
However, Bromsgrove reduced the deficit from the penalty spot on 34 minutes when Robinson found the net from 12-yards after Rory McAuley committed a handball in the box.
Bromsgrove travel to Royston on Saturday, March 21 with kick-off at 3pm at Garden Walk.
