BROMSGROVE Sporting battled to consecutive 1-1 draws in pre-season against Sutton Coldfield Town and Evesham United respectively.
Sporting took the lead against Sutton at Coles Lane on 25 minutes when a trialist picked out new signing Keiron Berry in the box and the striker slotted the ball into the bottom left corner from close range.
Sutton drew level in the second half with a glancing header on 56 minutes with Sporting unable to find a winner against the Northern Premier League Midlands side.
However, Sporting were behind after just five minutes against Evesham at the Spiers and Hartwell Stadium when Amer Awadh struck from the penalty spot after Aaron Roberts fouled Alfie Dunn in the box.
And Evesham won another penalty just 10 minutes later with Roberts the culprit again only for Ollie Taylor to make a superb save and push the ball behind for a corner.
The Rouslers improved after the break and deservedly drew level on 71 minutes when Callum King-Harmes won a spot kick and Conor Rees fired in the resulting penalty.
