BROMSGROVE Sporting suffered a 3-0 home defeat against play-off chasing Leamington as the Rouslers saw their winless run stretch to six matches in all competitions.
The visitors took the lead when Cally Stewart scored a penalty in first-half injury time before Jack Edwards and Adam Walker both struck after the break at the Victoria Ground.
And the result means Bromsgrove sit 17th in the Southern League Premier Central table, nine points above the relegation zone.
Leamington side dominated from the off as Edwards headed straight at Sporting stopper Ollie Taylor from close range inside the opening minute.
And Edwards went close again soon after, sending a volley inches wide before veteran striker Tyrone Barnett saw his header saved by Taylor.
And the away side eventually broke the deadlock at the end of the first half when Stewart drew a foul in the box and picked himself up to fire the resulting penalty under the body of Taylor.
The Brakes doubled their lead five minutes after the break as Edwards sent a free-kick from just inside his own half over the head of Taylor and into the Sporting net after spotting the Rouslers goalkeeper off his line.
Sporting spurned a glorious chance to reduce the deficit when Prince Henry headed wide when one-on-one with Callum Hawkins on the hour mark before Billy Shaw curled an effort narrowly wide of the post.
However, Leamington sealed the points five minutes into injury time when Walker curled home to finish off a fine team move.
Bromsgrove are next in action away at Mickleover on Saturday, February 10 with kick-off at 3pm at the Don Amott Arena.
