BROMSGROVE Sporting surrendered an early lead in a 2-1 home defeat against Stratford Town.
The Rouslers led through Charlie Pavey’s early goal only for strikes from Dan Lafferty and Owen James to turn the game on its head at the Victoria Ground.
And the result means Bromsgrove sit 17th in the Southern League Premier Central table, seven points clear of the relegation zone.
Sporting made the perfect start as Aston Villa loanee Pavey curled a stunning effort into the top corner from 25-yards out with the game just four minutes old.
However, the Bards equalised on 13 minutes when Lafferty sent a diving header into the net after Rory Brown kept out James’s initial effort.
The Rouslers survived a scare soon after when Fin Brennan’s cross eluded everyone in the box and appeared to stop on the goalline before Brown pounced on the loose ball.
Brown then kept out Dan Vann’s volley before Jake Weaver parried Luke Benbow’s free-kick from 20-yards out at the other end.
After the break, Weaver tipped Luke Softley’s close-range header onto the crossbar to keep the scores level.
And the Bards completed the turnaround on 55 minutes when James drove a shot past Brown and into the top corner after the Rouslers failed to deal with Brennan’s free-kick.
Stratford substitute Henry Landers went close late on before fellow sub Max Lott embarked on a fine solo run only to find the side netting deep into injury time.
Bromsgrove are next in action against Worcester Raiders in the Worcestershire Senior Cup on Tuesday, December 9 with kick-off at 7.45pm at Claines Lane.
