BROMSGROVE Sporting continued their fine start to pre-season with another comfortable 3-0 victory against AFC Wulfrunians.
Goals from Harry Crook, Keanu Cooper and Zac Powell earned Sporting another pre-season win at the Prestige Midlands Arena.
The Rouslers dominated proceedings against the Midland Football League Premier Division side as Billy Shaw spurned a golden chance to break the deadlock when he shot wide when it seemed easier to score.
And Sporting punished the home side for committing too many players forward when Crook latched onto goalkeeper Charlie Price’s long kick and slid the ball under the Wulfrunians keeper.
Bromsgrove boss Paul Smith made seven changes at the break as the home side enjoyed their best spell of the match, sending a 30-yard effort narrowly over the crossbar.
However, Sporting doubled their lead on 55 minutes when Cooper headed home Luke Rowe’s excellent corner.
And the Rouslers extended their lead three minutes later as Powell’s shot found the top left corner of the goal after good work from Aaron Bishop.
Following the goal, Wulfrunians changed all 10 of their outfield players but Sporting remained on top as Bishop saw a good effort blocked and Cooper hit the woodwork when attempting to chip the Wulfrunians goalkeeper.
Bromsgrove continue their pre-season campaign away at Stourport Swifts on Tuesday, July 16 with kick-off at 7.45pm at Walshes Meadow.
