BROMSGROVE Sporting conceded a late goal in a 2-2 draw against Bury Town as the Rouslers played out a stalemate for the first time this season.
Sporting twice led courtesy of goals from Billy Shaw and Charlie Pavey only for Cemal Ramadan’s late strike to earn the visitors a share of the spoils at the Victoria Ground.
The result means Bromsgrove sit 18th in the Southern League Premier Central table, two points clear of the relegation zone although all of the teams below them have a game in-hand.
Sporting broke the deadlock on 34 minutes when Shaw bundled the ball over the line after good work from Gustavo Sanches down the wing.
However, Bury equalised three minutes later as Harley Curtis tapped home after Adam Harrison could only parry Ramadan’s effort into the scorer’s path.
The Rouslers reclaimed the lead one minute after the break when Aston Villa loanee Pavey slotted home James Sanderson’s through ball.
However, Bury levelled the game for a second time on 83 minutes as Ramadan turned home the rebound after Tommy Hughes’s initial shot hit the crossbar.
Bromsgrove are next in action against Stamford on Tuesday, October 14 with kick-off at 7.45pm at the Victoria Ground.
