SCOTT Adey-Linforth insists Bromsgrove Sporting must ‘keep getting better’ following a 2-0 victory away at Bishop’s Stortford.
Sporting are now seven games unbeaten in the league as Ash Carter and Jamie Meddows netted either side of half time at the RDA Stadium.
The result means the Rouslers sit 15th in the Southern League Premier Central table, two points clear of the relegation zone.
And despite Sporting’s impressive resurgence in recent weeks, Adey-Linforth insists Bromsgrove must strive to improve further.
Adey-Linforth said: “It’s a big team effort, I’m so happy for everyone involved.
“It’s a good run, we’re doing well but there’s always more.
“We have to keep getting better, we played some really good football and we have to continue to do that more and more, we have to keep striving for improvement.
“Everybody [was superb], we were at it, we started well and played some lovely stuff.
“We got ahead and created some really good chances, we had to really defend at the start of the second half.
“Everyone was putting their body on the line and then Meddows goes and wins it at the end.
“Set-pieces are massive, we’re a big team, we looked a threat attacking them and defended them really well.”
The Rouslers broke the deadlock after just 11 minutes when Carter forced a shot past a home defender on the line from Billy Shaw’s corner.
Stortford looked to respond soon after as Charlie Price made a fine save to keep out Bradley Russell’s effort from distance.
And Russell went close again on the hour mark as Price produced a stunning fingertip stop to deny the midfielder from inside the box.
Meddows sealed the points for Sporting six minutes from time with a powerful finish from 20-yards out as substitute Jack Newall provided the assist.
Bromsgrove are next in action against Leiston on Saturday, January 18 with kick-off at 3pm at the Victoria Ground.
