BROMSGROVE Sporting have confirmed captain Aaron Roberts will depart the club following the conclusion of the 2025/26 season.
Roberts rejoined the Rouslers in September last year having initially departed the Victoria Ground for rivals Redditch United last June.
The defender became club captain in January and helped the Rouslers retain their Southern League Premier Central status for another season.
Roberts is the club’s all-time record appearance holder and has played more than 350 games for the Rouslers.
Via a club statement, Sporting said: “Some players wear the shirt. Others become part of the shirt itself and, for Bromsgrove Sporting, Aaron Roberts will always be one of our own.
“From the very start of the club’s journey, Robbo has represented Bromsgrove Sporting with pride, passion, and unwavering commitment.
“Across more than 350 starts, 24 goals, countless battles, promotions, and unforgettable moments, he became the heartbeat of the team and a true leader on and off the pitch.
“As captain and the club’s all time record appearance holder, Aaron’s legacy is built on passion, consistency, and the respect he earned from everyone connected with the club.
“More than anything, supporters saw one of themselves in him – honest, committed, and proud to wear the badge.
“On behalf of everybody at Bromsgrove Sporting, thank you Azza for your leadership, your drive, and the memories.
“Your name will forever be a part of this club’s history.”
