BROMSGROVE Sporting secured back-to-back wins for the first time this season with a 2-0 victory away at Barwell.

Goals either side of half time from Luke Softley and Charlie Pavey earned the Rouslers the points at Kirkby Road.

The result means Bromsgrove sit 16th in the Southern League Premier Central table, two points clear of the relegation zone.

Sporting broke the deadlock on 33 minutes when Softley headed Billy Shaw’s cross into the bottom corner to score his first goal for the club.

And Aston Villa loanee Pavey also opened his Rouslers account on 74 minutes with a confident finish from Tom Edge’s flick-on.

The wins means Sporting have secured back-to-back victories and clean sheets for the first time since January 2019.

Bromsgrove are next in action against Quorn on Saturday, September 23 with kick-off at 3pm at Farley Way.
