BAILEY Depper-Gwilliams scored a five-minute hat-trick as Bromsgrove Rovers AFC beat BRS United 5-4 in a pre-season thriller, writes Neil Gordon.
After BRS opened the scoring, Dan Jones drew Rovers level before a quickfire treble from Depper-Gwilliams put Bromsgrove in command before United threatened a late comeback at Elmdon Road.
The home side took an early lead before Jones equalised with a fine free-kick and Depper-Gwilliams scored a brace in first-half injury time to send Rovers into the break with a two-goal lead.
Depper-Gwilliams completed his hat-trick early in the second half before BRS scored a couple of quickfire goals to reduce the deficit.
An own goal put Rovers two goals ahead late on only for BRS to hit back again in the closing stages as Rovers held on to claim a confidence-boosting win.
