BROMSGROVE Rovers AFC’s Holder Cup fixture against Kawala fell victim to the weather with their Eldorado Close pitch waterlogged, writes Neil Gordon.

Rovers were looking to return to winning ways against struggling Birmingham and District Football League Premier Division side Kawala, having suffered back-to-back League and Cup defeats.

Bromsgrove are next in action against Boldmere St Michaels under-21s in the Amateur Cup on Saturday, December 13. Kick-off is at 11.30am at The Amber Arena and Community Stadium with admission free.

Meanwhile, the club’s reserve side reached the semi-finals of the Jeffs Cup after beating Crusaders 3-2 at Rowheath Pavilion.

Reiss Robinson, Charlie Vale and Ben Murphy all scored after the interval to cancel out Rayner Richards-Hughes’ first-half strike, with Callum Rose getting Crusaders’ other goal.

The Reserve team entertain Olton Ravens in Division Four of the Birmingham and District League on Saturday, December 13. Kick-off is at 2pm at Eldorado Close and admission free.
