BROMSGROVE Rovers AFC lost their goalkeeper to injury and had a player sent off in a 3-1 defeat against Desi FC, writes Neil Gordon.

An eventful second-half saw Rovers keeper Jacob Brown carried from the field of play after an innocent challenge by an opponent.

An outfield player replaced Brown in goal before Joe Reynolds received a second yellow card at Eldorado Close.

Sanjay Malhi gave Desi an early lead before Robbie Davies levelled for Bromsgrove after the interval following Brown’s injury.

However, the Greens could not prevent Desi from increasing their advantage through Dalvir Rai and Mustafa Hussain.

And despite the setback Rovers remain fourth in Division One of the Birmingham and District Football League on nine points, just five points behind leaders Sutton United.

Bromsgrove entertain Premier Division Kawala in the Holder Cup on Saturday, December 6. Kick-off is 2pm at Eldorado Close and admission free.
