BROMSGROVE ROVERS AFC secured a 2-2 draw in their opening pre-season friendly against Henley Forest as the Greens prepare for the new season ahead, writes Neil Gordon.
Ben Hill and Tom Webb were on the scoresheet for Bromsgrove at Charford Road.
Prior to kick-off, the two teams observed a one minute’s silence in tribute to former Rovers youth team player Daniel Drewitt, who tragically died in an incident at Sutton Park Pool, Birmingham, last month, aged 16.
Birmingham City also held a one minute’s applause for Blues supporter Daniel at St Andrews, in the 16th minute of their friendly against Nottingham Forest.
Bromsgrove next face Worcester United in a friendly at Hallow Park on Saturday, August 9. Kick-off is 2.30pm and admission is free.
