ALEX Footman’s late header earned Bromsgrove Rovers AFC an impressive point at league leaders Galore.
Rovers put a dent in their opponents title ambitions as Footman headed in late on at Knightlow Road to stretch Bromsgrove’s unbeaten run in the league to seven matches.
The result means Rovers sit fifth in the Birmingham and District League Division Three table.
Following a goalless first half, Galore took the lead from a corner on the hour mark as Mohamoud Hagi headed home.
Rovers goalkeeper George Harris then kept his side in the game when he saved a penalty after Ash Pardoe committed a foul in the box.
And the visitors made Galore pay for that missed penalty when Footman headed in from a free-kick late on as Rovers knocked the home side off top spot.
Bromsgrove are next in action away at Castlecroft Rangers on Saturday, March 30 with kick-off at 2.30pm at Codsall Community High School with free admission.
