INJURY-HIT Bromsgrove Rovers AFC came from behind three times to beat Kingston Alliance 4-3 and claim their first away win of the season, writes Neil Gordon.

The Greens never-say-die spirit was evident at Moor Lane as the side secured their first Division One away win in the Birmingham and District Football League.

The result lifts Bromsgrove up to fourth in the table on nine points – just two points behind leaders Sutton United.

A first-half strike from Bailey Depper-Gwilliams and an own goal, coupled with strikes by Ash Pardoe and Jack Dawkins after the interval, saw Rovers secure their fourth straight win.

Rovers AFC manager, Spencer Machin said: “With a depleted squad, including our goalkeeper carrying an injury, we started the game strong but fell behind.

“We then managed to pull a goal back but were playing within ourselves.

“After the break we came out better but went behind to a penalty. We managed to equalise before pushing on for the winner.”

Bromsgrove have received an away walkover for this weekend’s Saturday Amateur Cup tie with opponents Fillongley unable to raise a team for the fixture.
