A VALIANT second-half fight-back proved in vain as Bromsgrove Rovers AFC exited the Senior Cup in a thrilling 4-3 encounter with Premier Division leaders Galore, writes Neil Gordon.
A second-half double from young Bailey Depper-Gwilliams, coupled to a Jack Dawkins strike, saw Birmingham and District Football League Division One side Bromsgrove fight back from 3-0 down at Gorway Road, as the Greens fell just short.
For Galore, Wahab Aljaser, Mushin Salad and Sabar Saeed put the hosts in the driving seat in the first-half, before Yoonis Maxmed hit a killer fourth goal midway through the second half to deny Bromsgrove.
The defeat sees Rovers’ impressive five-match winning league and cup run come to an end, as the side settles to life playing at their highest level in their short four-year history.
Bromsgrove entertain Desi FC on Saturday, November 29. Kick-off is at 2pm at Eldorado Close and admission is free.
